All of us began playing games when we were young. We especially loved the games that immersed us into a world we had never seen before. However, the limitations of the technology back then left us wanting for more. Eventually we met and bonded over our love of the book Ready Player One and hoped that the possibilities found there would become our reality.
In January of 2019 we were invited to take a class in the brand new BYU Mixed Reality Lab; a lab that was one of the first of its kind. This class provided us with the means to make our dreams a reality. We experienced Virtual Reality (VR) for the first time in that class. It opened our eyes to its possibilities.
Throughout the rest of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 our Mixed Reality (MR) goals and aspirations continued to grow. We each took time to learn how the Unity Engine worked. We each began to work on passion projects of our own. As we developed in MR, the drive that each one of us had continued to grow.
After much discussion and consideration, we decided to come together and create Practically Reality Labs. To us, Practically Reality Labs is a way to help show the world the potential of MR. We saw a space where people don’t have to abide by natural laws. Things that were never possible to experience before could be created and experienced for the first time ever. We created Practically Reality Labs with the hopes to make others' dreams into reality, and in turn, we are making our own dreams a reality as well.
